Seriously, who is he trying to kid? Almost everything is wrong here. His stance, the position his hands on the gun, the lack of recoil. Presumably this has been released to show that Obama is one of the boys and understands the concerns of real sports shooters, as he shafts them over gun control. Listen, is that the sound of laughter?

ReplyDeleteI've never shot a gun, but should there be a second plume of smoke at just over 90 degrees from the one coming out of the front of the gun?
ReplyDeleteJoe, the gun has a ported barrel, This acts like a muzzle brake and reduced muzzle 'flip'. Useful if you are shooting a discipline such as skeet where you may need to take two shots in very quick succession.
DeleteModern smokeless propellants do not give that amount of smoke. Even a black powder propellant would be hard pushed to make that amount of smoke drifting softly away so close to the point of ejection, especially at exactly the moment the photographer took the picture.
