Another day in the Demokratik Socialist Wonderland of Great Britain

So  the BMA demand that smoking be banned in private cars and naturally the spectre of the banning of smoking in private homes gallops happily behind. Citing flawed evidence based on unlikely or fantastical scenarios seals the deal and the slack jawed masses suck it all up and agree  that the the gummint and their single issue 'advisors' know best.

Commentators, bloggers, tweeters and individuals mount a counter argument based on known facts and proven scientific studies. The freedom of the individual is trashed on the alter of collective good supported by misinformation and hysterical reaction. Those who want to ban, hector, control and punish others take notes as the template is refined and defined ready for use against almost anything that they want.

Another day in a vassel state in the bankrupt empire of Europe. Another day that that state takes another small step to control of you and your life. With a smile on its face. All for your own good. Another day that I disconnect more from the pantomime of  miserable control freakery, disguised as benevovent concern.

Another day nearer being designated as an 'enemy of state'.

  1. You forgot to add "the elected" BMA, these "advisers" and "agencies" act as buffers between the elctorate and the imbeciles that we elected to shoulder and be accountable for such issues.
In most respects it is no different than to have an appointed PM as in Greece and Italy.

  2. Why not just take the kids of smokers into care? That's what they REALLY want to do. Even though governmental delivery of children's home care is often as scandalous as the worst parenting.
